Carbon and Zeolite Based Slow Release Fertilizer Formulations Enhances Nutrient Use Efficiency and Yield in Chilli

Aims: To develop slow release fertilizer formulations using humic acid, charcoal and zeolite to evaluate nutrient availability, use efficiency yield in chilli.
 Study Design: This experiment was conducted through completely randomized design with 14 treatments 3 replications.
 Place Duration of Study: The research appraised at the Department Soil Science, College Agriculture, Vellayani between September 2022- December 2022.
 Methods: Carbon based (SRF) containing all major, secondary micronutrients were prepared compatible materials (urea, rajphos, muriate potash, phosphogypsum, magnesium sulphate, zinc sulphate borax), carrier (zeolite, acid charcoal) binding agent (carboxy methyl cellulose) ratio 1:1 1: 0.5 form pellets. These applied chilli evaluated yield.
 Results: pellets highly stable weight ranged 4.0 4.5 g. highest fruit observed 581.2 g/ plant. available nitrogen (320.86 kg ha-1), phosphorus (87.15 potassium (214.35 calcium (351.13 mg kg-1), (106.54 sulphur (9.32 kg- 1), boron (0.46 kg-1) (4.25 found be treatment receiving 75% recommended dose fertilizers (RDF) as formulation two splits (basal 1 MAP). apparent recovery percentage 78.2%, 86.33% 98.70% partial factor productivity 25.98 g g-1 recorded due application pellets.
 Conclusion: are very effective compared conventional their gradual pattern which better meets plant demand, minimizes leaching therefore ultimately crop yield. Application significantly increases availability soil, efficiency, growth chilli.
